At Independent Books we can appraise your books for purposes of insurance, donation, sale, or estate planning/probate. Your appraisal will be conducted in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. You will receive an accurate, impartial, and unbiased professional analysis of value. Your appraisal will be complete and confidential, and will include all relevant forms.
While we may love your books, we will not offer to buy those that we have appraised—we consider this a conflict of interest. In addition, we do not appraise books based on their value, always on an hourly rate plus expenses independent of the value of the books.
